Howard Herbert's Music Center
This neighborhood business has been around for 48 years. They sell a full range of
instruments, but teaching has been their strongest point over the
years. They have some of the best instructors in the area, and teach all
instruments to all age groups.
They also own Practical
Publications, which produces the instruction books written by, Jay Bruno
& Tom Santone. The store was started by Howard & Mary Herbert and
is now owned and managed by Robert Herbert and Jay Bruno.
Pictured here (in the middle), is Jay Bruno, and his
"Bombers" during a recording session. Jay has
been teaching and playing professionally for over 30 years. He has
been rated as the best percussion instructor in the Philly area
by
many of his peers.
